WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Made from the Agiorgitiko and Mavroudi varieties this red contains aromas of ripe red berries including strawberries, cherries and has  subtle hints of allspice. On the palate this structured, medium bodied red has soft tannins and a well balanced acidity. Trying chilling this red down for the patio or pairing it with braised beef.

Monemvasia winery started as a passion project to study local, and rare varieties of the region. Since then their love for viniculture has grown, and they are dedicated to organic, and low intervention practices including hand picking, and sun drying the grapes.

The wine region of Southern Greece is primarily characterized by its Meditteranean climate. With mild winters and hot, dry summers this region is known for its delightfully aromatic wines. The sea, and the 'meltemia" winds have a strong impact on the grapes by bringing a cool breeze to the plants, so they can endure the heat waves in late summer.
