Whats Inside?
Borga Prosecco Rose - Veneto, Italy $29.95
Delicate, pale pink color with a leisurely display of tiny bubbles. Fragrant notes of white peach, wild strawberry, and Pink Lady apple are complemented by hints of sweetbriar. Dry and straightforward on the palate, this Prosecco has a balanced progression and a lovely, fruit-infused finish.
A great accompaniement to brunch or movie night salted popcorn.
Melea 2022 White - Catalonia, Spain $18.95
The fruit for Melea white is 90% Verdejo and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. Intense aromas of pineapple, green grass, white flowers, and a hint of flint lead the way to a dry and refreshing palate with a long citrusy finish with concentrated flavours. Try it with coconut prawns and sweet chili sauce.
Casa Natal 2022 Albarino - Rias Biaxas, Spain $26.95
Notes of citrus like lemon, and grapefruit stand out on the nose right away. Followed by peaches and apricots on the palate. The vineyard's proximity to the Ocean results in a blessing of salty sea spray that translates to “seasoning” for the wine, it also enhances its ability to complement foods. A top pairing is ceviche but this versatile white will compliment most things from poultry to pork.
Clos Lapeyre 2021 Jurancon Blanc - Jurancon, France $29.95
This 100% Gros Manseng is unapologetically dry and beautifully aromatic. Typical to the varietal, this wine has an electric volt of acidity with notes of lemon curd and zest, apricot, and well-sculpted minerality. Try it with chili paneer or roasted chicken.
Famille LaPlace, NV Les 3 Petit Cochons - Southwest France $24.95
This Rose is one of our favourites, "Les 3 Petits Cochons Roses" which translates to "The 3 Little Pink Pigs," this unique rose is made with 100% Tannat! Aromas of roses and elderflower leap from the glass and translate onto the palate beautifully where they're met with flavours of raspberry, watermelon, and grapefruit. Try it with roasted fish with citrus.
Domaine Girard 2022 Pinot Noir- Languedoc, France $26.85
Pinot Noir is an immensely fussy grape to grow, it demands perfect conditions and loving care in the winery. Domaine Girard is in the south of France, so the grapes get the best of the warm Mediterranean sunshine and cooling breezes from higher altitude parcels. The resulting wine is elegant without compromising on flavour. It offers a medley of red fruits like red cherry, raspberry and strawberry with slight spice and pleasant earthy notes.
Domaine de Nugues 2022 Beaujolais Lancie - Beaujolais, France $31.85
Deep ruby colour, aromas of red fruits and fine spices with a beautiful length. Semi carbonic maceration leads to brightness and fresh fruit flavours. Pair this with charcuterie and cheese.
Carchelo 2022 Monastrell - Jumilla, Spain $26.95
This wine never lasts long on our shelves! Made from Monastrell, aka Mouvedre, this organic, vegan, red wine from Spain is a sure hit! This wine shows Intense aromas of black and red berries, cedar and spice. Wines from Jumilla are full of flavour while being budget-friendly. This is a great wine to add to your weekday rotation- while it lasts, of course!
Enjoy with roasted pork shoulder.
Piccoli 2021 Zefiro Valpolicella - Veneto, Italy $32.95
Made with 100% sustainably harvested Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes.
The resulting wine has a ruby red color with a touch of purple and an elegant, fragrant nose of red fruits and subtle spices. On the palate, it offers a refreshing, fruity taste balanced by a bright finish, making it a perfect representation of a young and aromatic Valpolicella. Around these parts, we think Valpolicella and Pizza night are a perfect match.
Las Carlinas 2019 Garnacha - Carinene, Spain $19.95
Grenache is a sun-loving grape that thrives in hot, dry conditions. It's no surprise that fruit for this old vine Grenache is grown in Carinena in northeastern Spain. True to what we love about this grape, the wine is teeming with notes of juicy raspberry and red cherry. With just a touch of oak to finish the wine, enjoy elements like cinnamon, fig and fruit leather. Enjoy with pork loin or charcuterie.
Domaine de Boede 2022 Le Pavillon - Languedoc, France $24.95
Approachably deep red in colour. Aromas of ripe red fruit, raspberry, cassis, and a hint of spice, black pepper, and cinnamon, create a complex bouquet. The palate is smooth and generous, with silky tannins and a perfectly balanced finish that is both long and elegant.
Try it with beef or bean chili.
Stephane Ogier 2022 “Les Temps En Venu” - Rhone Valley, France $34.95
In contrast to many of Stephane's wines from the Northern Rhone that show the more serious side of the region, this wine is meant to be a joyful expression of the South. "The Time Has Come" expresses his personality as the eighth generation to care for the winery. From Plan de Dieu - predominantly Grenache, with some Syrah and Mourvedre - it's whole cluster pressed and finished in concrete. This is an approachable wine that can also age a few years. Lots of structure with firm tannins alongside ripe cherry, leather and garrigue.Try it with Moroccan chicken and olive tagine.
