WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

A pretty pink ruby colour. The bouquet is not giving us much but there is notably more to the palate, with a briary dark fruit, an additional lick of oak, and clearly more persistence. Their plot is planted en travers above Reignots, inaccessible by tractor, it has to be worked by a horse. Long and quite fine, not especially plump but with good tension. 50% new wood which it can take. 40% whole bunch vinification . Drink from 2030-2038.- Jasper Morris 92-94

Domaine Robert Sirugue is a small, family-run estate that has quietly been building their reputation in the heart of Vosne Romanee. With prime plots in Grands Echézeaux, Les Petits Monts and Les Barreaux the estate has captured the unique terroir of the area and is showcasing precision and elegance through their winemaking.

The main growing region of Burgundy spans from Dijon in the north through the Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, Challonaise all the way through to Macconais. Chablis and Beaujolais too.The primary varieties here are Chardonnay for white and Pinot Noir for red, you can also find Aligote and Gamay for a little variety.

Burgundy is a treasure chest of tiny vineyards with unique soil compositions and exposures that grant tiny plots the best conditions. The best red and white Burgundy rewards with time in The Cellar.
