Generations of the Villa family have worked the vines throughout France and Spain. Pierre Jean was the first to set roots of his own. Pierre Jean honed his craft working at Clos de Tart in Burgundy, and Vins de Vienne with Rhone royalty Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard and François Villard. In 2009 his journey as an independent wine grower in the Northern Rhone began, today he works with his son Hugo and Daughter Pauline making at his eponymous winery, Pierre Jean Villa. In a short amount of time, the small production batches earned admiration from critics creating a great demand for his bottles.
