WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

An intense garnet red colored Barbaresco. It lives up to its name "Come un Volo" which means "like a flight" as it has the acidity to take you into the sky. It is soft and ready to drink or if your up to it, could be aged for another 10+ years.

It's got a fragrant nose with elegant hints of undergrowth, soft violet, red raspberry, and slight herbs. Tannins are chalky but balanced that envelope the palate to a velvety soft, persistent finish.

Gabriel was born in Canelli, a small town in Piedmont where the first sparkling wine in Italy was created. A big passion and love for beautiful things, good food, and of course good wine led him to undertaking winemaking. He wanted to offer the market the best products that showed off his own independent spirit and vineyards.

For all his wines, selection is the basis of everything and nothing is left to chance. The search for soils with better exposure, the age of the vineyards, low yields, minimization of pesticide treatments, all give rise to wines that are increasingly rich in olfactory and gustatory sensations.

Piedmont translates literally to "Foot of the Mountains" in this case, the Alps. The region has many parallels to Burgundy, vineyards handed down through generation, increasing demand paired with increasing price. The top grape of the region is Nebbiolo, labelled regionally as Barolo, Barbaresco or Langhe Nebbiolo. The wines that require long term aging reward time in the cellar, while you are waiting for them to mature, enjoy regional wines of Barbera or Dolcetto.
