WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Made from Arneis, this white wine is medium bodied with a slightly creamy texture and a bitter almond finish. Notes of white flowers, honey, apricot and white peach. Enjoy with prawns cooked in butter and sambuca.

To provide for his family, Mario Pelassa would bicycle 60 km to Torino and 60km back to try to sell wine in the city.

Since the 2000s, Pelassa Winery has been taken over by Mario's sons, Davide and Daniele.

Piedmont translates literally to "Foot of the Mountains" in this case, the Alps. The region has many parallels to Burgundy, vineyards handed down through generation, increasing demand paired with increasing price. The top grape of the region is Nebbiolo, labelled regionally as Barolo, Barbaresco or Langhe Nebbiolo. The wines that require long term aging reward time in the cellar, while you are waiting for them to mature, enjoy regional wines of Barbera or Dolcetto.
