WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Bright aromas of strawberry and rhubarb intertwine with oak-derived spice of nutmeg, vanilla and sandalwood. The palate is juicy, medium bodied and has a bright, fresh acidity keeping the juicy, fruit profile prevalent. Fresh and smooth for drinking on its own, but a versatile pairing wine perfect for grilled vegetables, roasted chicken and tomato base pasta dishes.

The Puras family has been growing grapes and making wine in the Rioja region for over 5 generations, keeping true to their traditional wine-making methods.

Daniel Puras looks after 11 hectares of Tempranillo vines planted in limestone-clay soils in Briones. Some of these vines are over 60 years old and he focuses on low-yield, eco-conscious viticulture, making sure to use the least amount of herbicides and other treatments possible.

Daniel isn't just carrying on family traditions; he is elevating them and making them his own in today's wine world.

Located in Northwestern Spain in the area of Briones, Rioja Alta which is incredibly small with only a dozen or so wineries in the area. A wide variety of soil types is of huge importance to the area and is perfect for the most classic blends, but also for terroir influenced wines. Modern wineries started popping up around the railroad that stopped in Haro. The railroad opened in 1880 and was between Longrono and Bilboa. The first to arrive was R. Lopez de Heredia Landeta in 1877, followed by CVNE in 1879, and other notable houses followed!
