WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

The Mastroberardino family, leaders in Italian viticulture, are largely responsible for the revival and elevation of Irpinian and Campanian winemaking post-WWII. Legend has it that God cried when he found a corner of heaven, above the gulf of Naples, stolen by Lucifer. Where his divine tears fell, the vines of Lacryma Christi were born. The history of the vines is as colorful as its legend.

This white is made of 100% Coda di Volpe from vineyards sitting below Mt. Vesuvius - mineral-rich volcanic ash soils embedded with small rock fragments. Produced entirely in stainless steel tank, the wine shows aromas of pear, apple and citrus and a palate of white peach with hints of licorice. Medium-bodied with balanced acidity.

It is ideal for pairing with foods: think fresh or friend seafoods, creamy pasta or risotto dishes!

The Mastroberardinos have been called many things over the course of their rich, 10-generation history. But above all else, they are Campania's greatest champions and are responsible for a quality renaissance in the south that's turned them into a global leader in viticulture and varietal rehabilitation

The best vineyards of the region surround the city of Naples. Mastroberardino is one of the most notable producers of the area. The best known varietals of the region are Aglianico, Fiano, Falahghina and Greco.
