WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

The Librandi family has been making wine in Calabria for the past four generations and in the small area of Ciro for three decades. This Rosso is made of Gaglioppo [gah-lee-oh-po], a rare Italian grape variety that is related to Sangiovese. This medium bodied wine has notes of red currants, red berries, tobacco and leather.

Want to try a new recipe? Try this wine with a tomato and zucchini galette.

Since 2012 the company is run by Nicodemo, Raffaele, Paolo, Francesco and Teresa Librandi, who are at the forefront of all the activities of the company: from the management of vineyards to marketing. Walter Librandi is involved in the bottling activity while Daniela Librandi is part of the corporate structure.

"During all these years there have been many changes, but the vocation and the close relationship with the territory have always ignited our passion and have always been at the center of our projects".

Calabria: a world of incomparable beauty, enclosed between two seas that turn from crystal clear to deep blue. Its mountains shift between landscapes that are beyond compare: rugged peaks capped with snow in the winter, steep cliffs that plunge into the sea, sweeping valleys with lakes and pastures.
The ancient Greeks colonised this lush and fertile land and called it Oenotria: the land where the grapes are grown and the wine is produced.
