Azienda Agricola Lanciola is situated a few kilometres outside Florence on the rolling hills of Impruneta in the Colli Fiorentini wine-making region. In Medicean times the land belonged to the characterful Ricci family, whose family crest is referenced by the hedgehogs on the Lanciola label.

Tuscany as a broader region includes famous areas including Montalcino and Chianti and of course the famous table wine, the Super Tuscan. The most planted variety is Sangiovese but international varieties are increasing in popularity with the critical acclaim of Super Tuscan style wines.
