WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Vinified with indigenous yeast. 50% in aged foudres and 50% in barrel (35% new) and aged for 2 years on fine lees. The intensity of the wine embraces the extended aging, and amount of new oak, showing a perfect balance of flavour and barely any character of the wood. Notes of white peach, yellow apple skin, tangerine peel, lime leaf and beeswax. On the palate you’ll also find a generous amount of chalk and stony minerals.

Arnaud Lambert is helping to drive a revolutionary movement in the appellations of Saumur and Saumur-Champigny. The goal is to re-discover each individual terroir and its potential through organic viticulture and less-is-more, precise winemaking. His wines have become highly collectible to hunters of terroir expression.

In 2012 the winery was granted Organic certification. This movement stemmed first and foremost from the desire to express the terroir of each individual Clos in its purest, most vibrant form.

Located on the France's Atlantic coast. The most recognizable wine of the Loire Valley is regionally labelled Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre. Dont let that overshadow coastal Muscadet Sevre Maine, it's coastal influence makes an idea pairing for seafood. Saumur and Touraine produce vibrant reds from Cabernet Franc as well as white's as bright as a coastal sunrise. Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc are the most planted varietals and can range from sweet to dry or even sparkling. The Loire is a magnificent wine region to explore.
