WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the Mont ame-migrats is part of Lacourte Godbillon's terroir series. Aged in 300L barrels with zero dosage, this is the driest style of Champagne. With only 1376 bottles produced, Market Wines was lucky to get an allocation of this sought after Blanc de Noir! Mont Ame has chalky soils leading to excellent texture and diversity in the flavour profile of this wine. Migerats has clay soil which also contributes to the richness and complexity of this special bottle.

Named after Geraldine's parents, Lacourte and Godbillon, this winery has deep roots in grape growing. She is the first in her family to produce her own wine, rather than selling to larger Champagne houses. Located in the premier cru village of Écueil, on the western flank of the "petite Montagne de Reims", their 20.5 acres of vineyards are mostly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with a small portion in the neighboring village of Les Mesneux. The vines have an average age of 30 years.

Champagne is possibly the most recognized regional "brand" in wine. Famous for its traditional method sparking wine, the standard accompaniment to any celebration. The chalky soils and rich history make Champagne and unparalleled region for sparkling wine.
