Fattoria la Lecciaia combines a young, dynamic approach to the wine business, while strictly adhering to the antique traditions of Brunello di Montalcino. Located in “Località Vallafrico” and surrounded by the vineyards of some of the most iconic estates of the area, the La Lecciaia is in the centre of the original micro-terroir where the world famous Brunello di Montalcino was first produced.
Il Baccanale is made of 50% Sangiovese Grosso and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon which were hand harvested in late September/early October and is vinified in steel tanks with controlled temperature for 15/20 days. The Sangiovese was then aged for about 48 months Slavonian oak casks, while the Cabernet Sauvignon spent about 24 months in barriques before they were blended.
