WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

100% Organic Chardonnay grapes from northern slopes of the village bordering Volnay, utilizing specific plots: Les Durots, En la Barre, Malpoiriers, and Dressolles. Vine age ranges from 40-70 years, south and southeastern exposure and exclusively hand harvested. The wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts only and see 12 months of barrel aging, 15% of which are new.

Nestled in the hills of Meursault lies the renowned Domaine Guy Bocard. Started in 1920 by Charles Bocard, predating the official creation of the Meursault AOC, with the formal establishment of the estate in 1976 by his son Guy Bocard who ran the winery for nearly 50 years. After his retirement, the domain was purchased by the Derichebourg family, who promptly converted to organic viticulture. The estate farms just shy of 6 hectares and focuses exclusively on white wines in some of the desirable Premier Cru sites such as Charmes. They focus on the classic, textural styles of Chardonnay with an emphasis on low-intervention techniques to highlight the grapes natural qualities and showcase why Meursault has the reputation it does.
