Since 1592 the Gondi family has been producing Chianti Rúfina at their Tenuta Bossi estate, northeast of Florence. Their wines have been renowned since the Renaissance and today, after centuries, are viewed with the same prestige.
The 2021 San Giuliano Chianti Rúfina is a blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Colorino & 10% Merlot coming from the Villa Bossi estate, and harvested in late September of 2021. The wine sees approximately 15 months in barrel and 6 months in bottle before it’s released. Intensely fruity with notes of raspberries, blackberries, tart red cherry and tomato leaf, this young wine has soft tannins and a supple finish. The perfect pizza wine!
