WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Paul Garaudet took charge of his family's 15-hectare domaine when he was only eighteen, following the sudden death of his father, Georges. He has since then carved out a reputation as one of the finest red and white wine-makers in Monthalie and Volnay. The vines used for the Cuvee Paul are from old vines 50-80 years of age. This wine has notes of raspberries, dehydrated strawberries, rose petals and cloves. Medium bodied, pale ruby, and high acid.

As in French tradition the Garaudet estate has been handed down from father to son for generations. To protect the soil and honor future generations the land is worked sustainably without the use of chemicals.

The main growing region of Burgundy spans from Dijon in the north through the Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, Challonaise all the way through to Macconais. Chablis and Beaujolais too. The primary varieties here are Chardonnay for white and Pinot Noir for red, you can also find Aligote and Gamay for a little variety. Burgundy is a treasure chest of tiny vineyards with unique soil compositions and exposures that grant tiny plots the best conditions. The best red and white Burgundy rewards with time in The Cellar.
