WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Aromas are delicate with notes of green apple, pear, white flowers and a hint of brioche. The palate has an elegant balance of fresh crisp acidity and creamy mouthfeel from its fine bubbles. On the palate there are notes of stone fruit and honey with an underlying minerality. Sip by itself, or pair with dense, creamy cheeses like Brie or Camembert.

Eugène Meyer and his wife Marie Rose took over the estate in 1960. They took great care in renovating the ancient tasting room that housed a 17th century grape press. Their son François took over in 1990 and is a pioneer of biodynamics, following the lunar calendar of viticultural practices.

The region has a unique heritage, having changed hands between the German and the French, many times. The influence of both cultures shows in the bottle. At the base of the Vosges Mountains the regions grapes are slow to ripen providing complexity to the wines.
