WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Negroamaro is a native varietal to Southern Italy with a ruby hue in the glass. Drinking well now, but with great aging potential. Notes of lush crushed berries, black cherry and spices fill the nose with slight floral qualities. The palate is rich, full and juicy, Pairs well with spicy sausages, pasta or barbecued chicken.

A Mano winery was established in 1997 in Puglia by Mark and Elvezia Sbalchiero. Mark was a winemaker from California and ‘Elvie’ a marketing wiz from Friuli. A holiday in Puglia turned into a new life for them when they fell in love with the region and opened the winery that same year. ‘A Mano’ means ‘handmade.’ A fitting title as their vineyards and wines are overseen with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Puglia is located in the ‘heel’ of Italy's boot. It's sunny and dry and a region to look for if you're seeking delicious wine with great value. The wines from Puglia are typically centred around indigenous grapes such as Negroamaro and Primitivo for reds and white grapes like Verdeca.
