WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Named "kings passion" in Italian this Barolo is garnet red. It's Intense and has aromas of ethereal tar, violet and sour cherry, with hints of dark fruits. Rich and well balanced with soft elegant tannins, it certainly has the passion of king.

Born in Canelli, the birthplace of Italy’s first sparkling wine, Gabriele brings an artist’s touch to his craft. He obsessively selects vineyards for their perfect exposure, keeps yields low, and avoids unnecessary intervention — all to let the fruit tell its story. The result? Wines with depth, balance, and a beautiful sense of authenticity. These are bottles made to be shared, savoured, and remembered.

Piedmont translates literally to "Foot of the Mountains" in this case, the Alps. The region has many parallels to Burgundy, vineyards handed down through generation, increasing demand paired with increasing price. The top grape of the region is Nebbiolo, labelled regionally as Barolo, Barbaresco or Langhe Nebbiolo. The wines that require long term aging reward time in the cellar, while you are waiting for them to mature, enjoy regional wines of Barbera or Dolcetto.
