WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Bright straw yellow with subtle golden reflections, this Roero Arneis opens with fresh aromas of pear, white peach, and citrus blossom, layered with delicate almond and herbal notes. The palate is crisp and lively, showing ripe orchard fruit balanced by vibrant acidity and a gentle mineral edge. A soft, slightly nutty finish adds texture and charm. Fresh and elegant and perfect with seafood, light pasta dishes, or antipasti.

In the 1950s, while trying to provide for his family, Mario Pelassa rode his bike into Turin every chance he got so that he would be able to sell his wine to the people living there who were benefitting from a thriving economy.

Since the 2000s, the Pelassa Winery has been taken over by his sons, Davide and Daniele. Davide, a tractor driver by vocation, is in charge of getting the best grapes to the winery. Daniele, on the other hand, is the face of Pelassa Wine, the more commercial and communicative soul.

Piedmont translates literally to "Foot of the Mountains" in this case, the Alps. The region has many parallels to Burgundy, vineyards handed down through generation, increasing demand paired with increasing price. The top grape of the region is Nebbiolo, labelled regionally as Barolo, Barbaresco or Langhe Nebbiolo. The wines that require long term aging reward time in the cellar, while you are waiting for them to mature, enjoy regional wines of Barbera or Dolcetto.
