WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

The Weißer Burgunder 1L from Weingut Kranz is a dry, organically grown white wine showing delicate aromas of pear, apricot, and a subtle hint of almond blossom. On the palate it is soft and creamy, with gentle acidity and a smooth, rounded texture. An easy-drinking, versatile wine, it’s ideal for uncomplicated everyday enjoyment.

Weingut Kranz is a family-owned estate in Germany, founded in 1948 by Hilda and Willy Dennhart with their daughter Ella and her husband. In the 1970s, the second generation shifted the focus to estate-bottled wines, laying the foundation for the winery’s modern identity. Today, the estate is run by fourth-generation winemaker Boris Kranz and his son Xaver, who joined the winery in 2023 after studying in Geisenheim. Their close collaboration has brought greater precision and tension to the wines, with a focus on Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir.

The Pfalz region is Germany’s second-largest wine-growing area, stretching 85 kilometers along the French border. Sheltered by the Haardt Mountains, it benefits from a warm, dry climate that allows grapes to reach full ripeness while retaining freshness and balance. The region is known for producing both expressive, full-bodied white wines and rich, fruit-driven reds, with Riesling and Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) varieties particularly prominent.
