WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

An absolute gem of a wine from Malenchini Wine Estate in Tuscany. This Chianti (kee-ahn-tee) is made from 95% Sangiovese - the most important grape in the region, and 5% Merlot to round it out. Full of tart red fruit aromas and enchanting acidity. Aged exclusively in stainless steel to preserve freshness and this wine has all of it. Medium bodied, notes of pomegranate, cherry and raspberry, followed by savoury herbal flavours. Ideal for a charcuterie board pairing.

The Malenchini family has roughly 100 years of winemaking on the Villa Medicea di Lilliano estate they have called home since 1830. The estate, which is located a hop, skip and a jump away from the city of Florence, is surrounded by acres of vineyards and olive groves. Currently in its eighth generation, the winery upholds its historic values of appreciation of the land by practicing organic farming and supporting the local ecology and biodiversity.

Wines from Chianti are arguably some of the most well known from Italy. The region is nestled between the cities of Florence and Siena, surrounded by idyllic vineyards and olive groves. The wines are blends, but primarily based on the Sangiovese grape.
