WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Hailing from an elevation of 700m comes Bernabeleva's Garnacha de Vina Bonita. The grapes are grown on a vineyard site dating back 80 years. The wine is quite delicate as it is framed by a lean minerality that comes from the thin compacted granite the vines are planted on.

Vinification occurs in wooden tanks followed by malolactic fermentation in french barriques for as long as the wine needs. This adds all the structure needed to round out the palate.

A perfumed and elegant expression of garnacha. Vina Bonita showcases a defined light cherry aroma, elegant minerality, sweet spice finish while still holding a robust body and fine tannin structure.

Bernabeleva, literally, means the path of the bear, where the bear lives, or next to the bear.

The bear logo represents the goddess of hunt, to whom, in ancient times, sacred forests were dedicated.

The estate manually works 35 hectares of old vine Garnacha and Albillo.

The sprawling metropolis and imposing Sierra de Guadarrama mountains to the north confine vineyards to the southeastern and southwestern corners of the autonomous community of Madrid. The Vinos de Madrid designation covers three demarcated wine sub-regions, each with distinguishing characteristics.

Winemaking here dates back to at least the 8th Century, and may well have been introduced by the Romans, or even the Carthaginians before them.
