WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Comprised of 70% Viognier and 30% Macabeo this white contains aromas of citrus, pear, white peach and starfruit. The palate is well balanced with a zippy acidity. The Macabeo adding freshness and balanced out the Viognier. Pair with lemongrass Thai curry, summer salads or grilled seafood.

The land was acquired by the Porcioles-Buixó family in 1992 and was initially intended to raise livestock. Once Juan de Porcioles was on the land, his ambition grew and he wanted to cultivate and produce wine on the land. With the help of friends and family, in 1998 planting was done by hand for the first vineyard, Vinya Vella. The first vintage was released in 2005 and is all organically farmed.

In the northeast corner of Spain, Catalonia's Mediterranean climate is shared by only 2% off the globe. The ideal growing conditions here present far fewer challenges in grape growing than other regions in Spain.
