WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

This Chablis opens with bright aromas of green apple, lemon peel, and white blossoms, wrapped around a crisp chalky minerality. The palate is lean and refreshing, showing zesty citrus, fresh orchard fruit, and a subtle saline edge. This wine has a  vivid acidity and a clean, stony finish that lingers gracefully.

‘In the 1980s, our parents embarked on the Chablis adventure with 3 hectares of vineyards. Soon, the first bottles were commercialized, and the Begue-Mathiot Estate was established. Today, 40 years later, we nurture our passion on 18 hectares, cultivating Petit-Chablis, Chablis, and various Premier Cru wines.’

-Guylhaine and Joffrey

Chablis is detached from the greater part of Burgundy, it is actually closer to Champagne. The region is famous for its Jurassic Kimmeridgean soils that combined with the cool climate present a electric brightness to Chardonnay grown in in the region.
