WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Since 1971, there are a group of winegrowers who have come together to make these 'Club' Champagnes. Authenticity, originality and meticulousness are the main objectives of this group. These are small production, single vintage and the top offering from each of the growers that belong to the 'Club de Tresor's Champagne'. These Club Champagnes are permitted to use a special elegant and exclusive bottle.

The 2016 vintage is comprised of mostly Pinot Noir with some Chardonnay. There is an intensive selection and winemaking process, which includes multiple rounds of tasting the still juice and 3 years into aging. The wine sees 7 years of aging on the fine lees prior to release. You can expect a golden yellow hue that presents a persistent but fine mousse. Notes of hazelnut and green apple skins lead into a long, yet elegant finish.

The house of Gaston Chiquet is the original grower producer in the Champagne region. They blazed a trail for many producers to abandon selling fruit to make their own top quality releases.

Nicolas Chiquet farms 23 hectares in the Valle de la Marne in the villages of Ay, Dizy, Hautvillers and Mareuil-sur-Ay. All of the fruit (including that which is used in the non-vintage cuvee) comes from premier and grand cru grapes. Nicolas does not employ any oak aging at Gaston Chiquet; he believes that concentration, fruit maturity and malolactic fermentation impart enough body and texture to make aging in barrel unnecessary.

Champagne is possibly the most recognized regional "brand" in wine. Famous for its traditional method sparking wine, the standard accompaniment to any celebration. The chalky soils and rich history make Champagne and unparalleled region for sparkling wine.
