WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Domaine Sérol Sparkling Rosé is a fun, fresh, and approachable bubbly. Made primarily from Gamay, it shows lively, bright fruit notes like raspberry and strawberry, with a hint of rose petal. It has a crisp, easy-drinking finish that’s perfect for celebrations, patio sips, or pairing with light appetizers.

Domaine Sérol is a family-run winery in the lesser-known Côte Roannaise, just west of the Loire Valley. The Sérol family has tended these hillside vineyards for generations and is best known for working with Gamay, a grape that produces fresh, juicy, and very drinkable wines. They farm everything organically, showing strong respect for nature and the land, which comes through in the purity of their wines. Their style focuses on balance, with bright fruit, gentle structure, and an easygoing feel that makes you want another glass.

Nestled in France’s northern Rhône, the Côte Roannaise is a small, characterful appellation known for its vibrant Gamay wines. Its vineyards are planted on distinctive pink granite soils, which lend the wines a fresh, mineral-driven character alongside bright red fruit. The region’s warm days and cool nights help preserve acidity and elegance, creating reds that are lively, aromatic and beautifully balanced. Often overlooked in favour of Beaujolais, the Côte Roannaise offers a fresh and expressive take on Gamay that is well worth exploring.
