WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Domaine de la Pépière, located in Maisdon-sur-Sèvre, was established in 1984 by Marc, who grew up in the nearby hamlet of La Pépière. The name, derived from the word "pépie" meaning thirst, accurately describes the vineyards' dry slopes that overlook the Sèvre river. Winemaker Marc Ollivier uses natural yeasts and minimal filtration on the old vines (40+ years) with an optimal location on a plateau. Unique to Muscadet, all of his vineyards are from original stock, with no clones.

Located on the France's Atlantic coast. The most recognizable wine of the Loire Valley is regionally labelled Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre. Dont let that overshadow coastal Muscadet Sevre Maine, it's coastal influence makes an idea pairing for seafood. Saumur and Touraine produce vibrant reds from Cabernet Franc as well as white's as bright as a coastal sunrise. Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc are the most planted varietals and can range from sweet to dry or even sparkling. The Loire is a magnificent wine region to explore.
