WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

This bottling from the Robert brothers is exceptional in every sense of the word. The Climat exudes intense concentration and an exotic nose, and showcases their signature long élevages, native yeast fermentation, and multiple layers of varying soil types. Do not miss this gorgeous and rare bottling.

In 1988, law school graduate Jean-Jacques Robert inherited five hectares of his grandfather's vineyards in the Mâconnais region near the village of Fuissé. While the majority of the harvest was traditionally sold to cooperatives, the small plots of land within the domaine were known for producing exceptional Pouilly-Fuissés thanks to their unique microclimates. Under the mentorship of renowned terroir advocates Marcel Lapierre and Kermit Lynch, Jean-Jacques has gradually implemented transformative changes to the domaine, revealing its true potential. Today, he is joined by his sons, Nicolas and Antoine.

The main growing region of Burgundy spans from Dijon in the north through the Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, Challonaise all the way through to Macconais. Chablis and Beaujolais too.
The primary varieties here are Chardonnay for white and Pinot Noir for red, you can also find Aligote and Gamay for a little variety.
Burgundy is a treasure chest of tiny vineyards with unique soil compositions and exposures that grant tiny plots the best conditions. The best red and white Burgundy rewards with time in The Cellar.
