WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

The 2022 Pian Del Sorbi is comprised of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Colorino and was aged for roughly 2 years in oak barrels. On the nose it has aromas of fragrant, ripe cherries, blackberries followed by the sweet spice of cloves and ending with hints of tobacco and leather. This wine has smooth and seamless tannins with a lingering taste of red fruit jam; a perfect wine to pair with roasted veal or grilled beef.

Tuscany as a broader region includes famous areas including Montalcino and Chianti and of course the famous table wine, the Super Tuscan. The most planted variety is Sangiovese but international varieties are increasing in popularity with the critical acclaim of Super Tuscan style wines.

Since 1592 the Gondi family has been producing Chianti Rufina at their Tenuta Bossi estate, northeast of Florence. Their wines have been renowned since the Renaissance and today, after centuries, are viewed with the same prestige.
