WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

The vineyard site of Oestricher Klosterberg is on south facing slopes. This wine is part of the German VDP ranking, on that ranking it falls in Estre Lage (IG), which is the second highest designation. You can think of this as a 1er cru wine!

After fermentation this riesling is aged for over a year in leese, which adds a slight creamy texture to the palate. On the nose you'll find notes of crushed flint, elderberry, apple cider and lemon zest. On the palate this wine retains a lively acidity and long finish. Enjoy with dim sum, drink now or hold. This wine is organic and biodynamic.

The Kuhn Estate has been a cornerstone of Rhinegau wine-making for roughly 230 years. The current generation worked to receive organic and biodynamic certifications in 2004.

The most famous stretch of vineyards along the Rhine River is the Rheingau. It's Rieslings carry an equal reputation to the Mosel's.

It benefits from an ideal sun exposure and sunlight reflection off of the river as well as protection from cold Northerly winds.
