WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

From two of the most prized parcels of the village of Auxey-Duresses.  One, a south-facing parcel with light, white soil prompting earlier ripeness and wines abundant with fruit. The other a southeast facing plot with brown clay earth - more dense, and tannic results. The complementarity of these two parcels results in a serious, powerful wine.

A similar bright fresh purple, with just a little more fruit weight on the palate. A little bit plusher in texture than the village Auxey, but still with notable acidity behind. A crunchy energy alongside the darker fruit. Drink 2028 - 2032- Jasper Morris MW

Domaine des Epeneaux owes its name to the Clos des Epeneaux, a magnificent parcel of five hectares acquired by Nicolas Marey at the end of the 18th, beginning of the 19th century.

Today, Domaine des Epeneaux constitutes a total surface area of 9 hectares in Epeneaux, Auxey Duresses and Volnay, and is more committed than ever to producing wines that are true expressions of their terroir.

The main growing region of Burgundy spans from Dijon in the north through the Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, Challonaise all the way through to Macconais. Chablis and Beaujolais too.
The primary varieties here are Chardonnay for white and Pinot Noir for red, you can also find Aligote and Gamay for a little variety.
Burgundy is a treasure chest of tiny vineyards with unique soil compositions and exposures that grant tiny plots the best conditions. The best red and white Burgundy rewards with time in The Cellar.
