WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Blended from the best lots from a 25-acre hillside vineyard, Profile reflects both the vintage’s unique characteristics and the diversity of clonal selections, rootstocks, soils, elevations, and microclimates of this estate. The resulting wine is rich and complex with dark fruit and a savory minerality that will evolve beautifully for years to come.

The 2013 vintage in Napa Valley: Practically a flawless growing season, with moderate temperatures throughout and no heat spikes or rain. Earliest harvest in 25 years started in August, but Indian summer conditions allowed growers to pick blocks as they wanted through late October. Wines brim with fruit and structure. A no-brainer benchmark

Merryvale Vineyards has been owned by the Schlatter family since 2008. Rene Schlatter's mission is to acquire vineyard land through Napa Valley. It started with the Profile vineyard that sits adjacent to Heitz and Bond, on the hillside overlooking St.Helena. Today the family owns vineyards on Mt Veeder, Los Carneros as well as Coombsville, and their vineyard portfolio is still growing.

Napa Valley is host to some of the most diverse soil series in the world. It also benefits from a rare Mediterranean climate. These ideal conditions along with daily fog settling in the valley from San Pablo bay are an equation resulting in complex Cabernet's, Chardonnay's and more.
