Krieger Rhoder Kult - Pflaz, Germany
A elegant cuvée of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of fresh dark berries and plums backed by a hint of chocolate for complexity. The lingering finish lends to heavier foods such as stews and red meats, or a traditional german dish called Sauerbraten (a red wine marinated beef pot roast).
Famille Lapace Les 2 Vaches Rouges - France
This wine is made from 100% Tannat and is round and supple. With darker fruits and a hint of spice on the palate it is a great introduction to Tannat wines and Laplace as a producer.
Domaine Pepiere Cabernet France - Loire Valley, France
Only the free-run juices from Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes are kept for this cuvee. The flavours are bursting with ripe raspberry on the nose and the palate, balanced with tart red cherry, freshly cracked black pepper, a dusting of fresh herbs and a wisp of smoke. This fresh red is a great pairing for roasted chicken (don't tell Pepie).
Lanciola Chianti - Tuscany, Italy
Chianti is made with the Sangiovese grape and can be blended with up to 15 % of other varieties. The wines are famous for their bright line of acidity and ability to pair with tomato based dishes. Crunchy red fruit with hints of spices, chocolate and leather. Pairs well with red meat, grilled veggies and anything parmigiana.
Las Carlinas Garnacha - Carinena, Spain
Grenache is a sun-loving grape that thrives in hot, dry conditions. It's no surprise that fruit for this old vine Grenache is grown in Carinena in northeastern Spain. True to what we love about this grape, the wine is teeming with notes of juicy raspberry and red cherry. With just a touch of oak to finish the wine, enjoy elements like cinnamon, fig and fruit leather. Enjoy with pork loin or charcuterie.
Jeff Carrel La Bette - Languedoc, France
Escape to the Mediterranean with this little gem of a wine!
Predominantly Syrah blended with Carignan and Grenache, it shows plummy notes of black currant while maintaining great structure. It really is a go to on many occasions!
