Airavata is a divine elephant, characterized by four tusks, seven trunks and a white complexion. He is the "king of elephants" and serves as the main vehicle for the deity Indra. 100% Garnacha from the Eliphante block, located in Cornville, AZ. A graceful and elegant red, traversed by supple purity and lush richness. Aromas of strawberry, licorice and cotton candy compliment earthy notions of garden soil and mushroom joined by suggestions of raspberry, pepper, allspice, and apple pie.

From English Folklore, Sancha was married to a count that she had to rescue a few times. The most notable rescue was when she swapped places with him in prison by wearing his clothes. This wine is Maynard's version of Ribera del Duero. Made with 100% Tempranillo, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Expect notes of dried red fruits, tobacco, spice and leather.
CADUCEUS PRIMER PASO 2021, VERDE VALLEY, ARIZONA $86.95
This is Maynard's take on a Cote Rotie, where they can blend Syrah with a tiny bit of Viognier for aromatics. This wine has a small amout of Malvasia, which adds a please white floral characteristic to the wine. There is a tiny bit of Petite Syrah as well to bolster the body. Notes of Blackberries, redcurrants, eucalyptus and black pepper. Enjoy with game meat.

First produced in 2004, this year’s Arizona NAGA blend is 90% Sangiovese, 5% Souzao, 5% Negroamaro. This vintage of NAGA features fruit from our largest Northern AZ site, Eliphante. Corville, AZ. Elev 3,400 ft. Ruby in color with blackberry, cherry, cedar & spice notes with a long finish.
MERKIN CHUPACABRA RED, WILLCOX , ARIZONA $46.95
Each year the proportions of this Rhone inspired blend shapeshift. This vintage aims to be 35% Grenache 35% Syrah and 30% Mourvedre. Expect ripe red berries, purple plum, black pepper and a hint of lavender. This entry level Maynard Wine is a great introduction to the Caduceus wines and Arizona wines in general.
