WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

An intense garnet red colored Barbaresco. It lives up to its name "Come un Volo" which means "like a flight" as it has the acidity to take you into the sky. It is soft and ready to drink or if your up to it, could be aged for another 10+ years.

It's got a fragrant nose with elegant hints of undergrowth, soft violet, red raspberry, and slight herbs. Tannins are chalky but balanced that envelope the palate to a velvety soft, persistent finish.

Born in Canelli, the birthplace of Italy’s first sparkling wine, Gabriele brings an artist’s touch to his craft. He obsessively selects vineyards for their perfect exposure, keeps yields low, and avoids unnecessary intervention — all to let the fruit tell its story. The result? Wines with depth, balance, and a beautiful sense of authenticity. These are bottles made to be shared, savoured, and remembered.

Piedmont translates literally to "Foot of the Mountains" in this case, the Alps. The region has many parallels to Burgundy, vineyards handed down through generation, increasing demand paired with increasing price. The top grape of the region is Nebbiolo, labelled regionally as Barolo, Barbaresco or Langhe Nebbiolo. The wines that require long term aging reward time in the cellar, while you are waiting for them to mature, enjoy regional wines of Barbera or Dolcetto.
