The 2019 vintage in Napa was one of a long and warm growing season with relatively little extreme heat. This allowed the grapes here to mature and ripen fully while preserving freshness and maintaining great acidity.
Tether's Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with a splash (3%) of Malbec that adds just the right amount of plush blue fruit to the flavour profile. This is a full bodied wine with ripe yet approachable tannin, red cherry and blueberry notes. 50% new French oak is used for an aging period of 18 months adding complexity and longevity to the wines. This is apparent with notes of tobacco, cedar and an uplifting spice note on the finish.
