WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Corton is one of the most sought after grand crus in Burgundy. It is known for producing riper and bolder wines that can age for a long, long time in the cellar. This Corton has got a spicy nose with hints of of pepper and clove. A touch of gaminess adds to complexity. This is a wine of great elegance to be shared on a special occasion.

The Domaine de La Pousse d’Or is distinguished by its 7 grands crus, and 11 premier crus including 3 monopoles, in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. Their goal is to offer you the purest expression of their exceptional terroirs that have been in the Domaine’s possession for centuries.

Since inception, Pousse d'Or has been regarded as one of the best estates in Burgundy. Producing collectable wines that speak of their unique terroirs.

They farm biodynamically in their vineyards and don't spray any pesticides. To bring out the most aromatics and complexity they do a long and gentle controlled vinification in the cellar. This is then followed by aging on lees which contribute the exceptional balance, and richness found in their wines.

The main growing region of Burgundy spans from Dijon in the north through the Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, Challonaise all the way through to Macconais. Chablis and Beaujolais too.

The primary varieties here are Chardonnay for white and Pinot Noir for red, you can also find Aligote and Gamay for a little variety.

Burgundy is a treasure chest of tiny vineyards with unique soil compositions and exposures that grant tiny plots the best conditions. The best red and white Burgundy rewards with time in The Cellar.
