WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Blended from the best lots from a 25-acre hillside vineyard, Profile reflects both the vintage’s unique characteristics and the diversity of clonal selections, rootstocks, soils, elevations, and microclimates of this estate. The resulting wine is rich and complex with dark fruit and a savory minerality that will evolve beautifully for years to come.

A wet spring resulted in less overt tannic structure, with small, concentrated berries delivering dense yet pure fruit flavors. Harvest stretched into October thanks to very moderate temperatures in August and September. Wines are ripe and lush yet well-defined; a worthy follow-up to the benchmark 2018 vintage

Merryvale Vineyards has been owned by the Schlatter family since 2008. Rene Schlatter's mission is to acquire vineyard land through Napa Valley. It started with the Profile vineyard that sits adjacent to Heitz and Bond, on the hillside overlooking St.Helena. Today the family owns vineyards on Mt Veeder, Los Carneros as well as Coombsville, and their vineyard portfolio is still growing.

Napa Valley is host to some of the most diverse soil series in the world. It also benefits from a rare Mediterranean climate. These ideal conditions along with daily fog settling in the valley from San Pablo bay are an equation resulting in complex Cabernet's, Chardonnay's and more.
