WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

100% Chardonnay from two single vineyards. Les Chaillots, and Les Hautes Vignes, with an average vine age of 40 years. Aged on the lees for a minimum of 34 months. A mere 50 magnums exist globally.

“Come-hither nose of vanillin, peaches, and cream, supported by a generous mousse. Pinot Noir to the fore here with mouth-coating brambly fruit.” Decanter

Nestled in the illustrious Premier Cru village of Écueil on the western side of the “Petite Montagne de Reims”, these vines have been passed down through generations within the Lacourte & Godbillion families. The first Champagne vines were planted here before 1947, with Jean-Guy Lacourte and Claudine Godbillon producing their initial harvest under the name Lacourte-Godbillion in 1968. In 2006, Richard Desvignes and Geraldine Lacourte decided to leave their corporate jobs and return to the family vineyard, a change that proved to be a profound revelation. Following in the footsteps of their ancestor Jean-Guy Lacourte, they uphold the philosophy that only the finest quality grapes can produce truly exceptional wine. Now boasting 20.5 acres of vines, the estate comprises 95% Écueil and 5% Les Mesneux.

Champagne is possibly the most recognized regional "brand" in wine. Famous for its traditional method sparking wine, the standard accompaniment to any celebration. The chalky soils and rich history make Champagne and unparalleled region for sparkling wine.
