Fattoria la Lecciaia combines a young, dynamic approach to the wine business, while strictly adhering to the antique traditions of Brunello di Montalcino. Located in “Località Vallafrico” and surrounded by the vineyards of some of the most iconic estates of the area, the La Lecciaia is in the centre of the original micro-terroir where the world famous Brunello di Montalcino was first produced.
This is about 70% Sangiovese with local varieties making up the rest of the blend, grapes were hand harvested in late September/early October and vinified in steel tanks with controlled temperature for 15/20 days and aged for about 12 months in oak casks from Slavonia.
