Located in the Collio DOC of northeastern Italy’s Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, this Pinot Nero aka Pinot Noir, was grown on alluvial soils with a good component of clay and gravel. The fruit spent 10 days on skins before being transferred to stainless steel to rest. Pale ruby in colour with notes of tart red cherries, ripe cranberries, field strawberries and a hint of violet, this juicy, elegant red is great with roasted white and red meats, poultry, and game.
