Krieger family has been growing grapes and making wine on the hills of Pfalz since 1652. Thortsen took the reins in 2001, his tutelage began as a youth in the winery and he went on to become both a certified sommelier and obtained a degree in business administration.

Not far from the northern tip of Alsace. Pfalz is the second largest growing region in terms of acreage. The region is warm, sunny and fertile.
