WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

This fruit comes from very old vines in Meursault, the fruit was harvested by hand and fermented using indigenous yeast. Post fermentation the wine is aged in barrique, 5-10% of which is new.

The result is a wine abundant with notes of tropical fruit, ripe pear, toasted macadamia nut and a hint of salinity. Pair it with soft cheeses or a flaky white fish, like halibut.

One of the finest small producers in the village of Meursault, the Boissons have been vignerons here for more than two centuries, and the wines today are as fine as they have ever been in the long and illustrious family history.

For years, the tiny Boisson domain has managed to stay under the radar, preferring to sell locally to a select mailing list of private customers in France. However, with the superb quality of their wines being discovered by wine critics across the globe, Boisson has finally started to move into the spotlight. Britain's celebrated wine critic Jancis Robinson recently ranked them as one of the finest producers of Meursault, naming them alongside the likes of Lafon, Roulot, and Coche-Dury.

The main growing region of Burgundy spans from Dijon in the north through the Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, Challonaise all the way through to Macconais. Chablis and Beaujolais too.
The primary varieties here are Chardonnay for white and Pinot Noir for red, you can also find Aligote and Gamay for a little variety.
Burgundy is a treasure chest of tiny vineyards with unique soil compositions and exposures that grant tiny plots the best conditions. The best red and white Burgundy rewards with time in The Cellar.
