One of the finest small producers in the village of Meursault, the Boissons have been vignerons here for more than two centuries, and the wines today are as fine as they have ever been in the long and illustrious family history
Sous la Velle is located at the base of the slope at an alititude 220 meters. Planted in 1947, 1952, 1987 & 1990 (in equal parts). The vines are farmed using natural methods, the grapes are hand harvested and fermented using indigenous yeast. Post fermentation the wine aged in barrique, about 25% is new and sees extended elevage of about 18 months. This wine is one of the most finessed in the lineup, showing elegant notes of crisp green apple, pear and salted lime, complimented my rich notes of vanilla and buttercream. Potential for ageing for 10+ years.
