WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

This refined red wine is bursting with fragrant notes of rose petal, perfumed berry, and menthol. Its graceful and structured palate features succulent flavors of red cherry, raspberry compote, white pepper, and star anise, complemented by bright acidity and youthful, refined tannins. Radiant and approachable, this wine is perfect for enjoying with friends and family. Best enjoyed from 2024 to 2036.

Using grapes from a 1.4ha vineyard spread across Castiglione Falletto, Monforte and Barolo, this wine undergoes 7-8 days of fermentation and 15 days of maceration. It is aged for a minimum of 2 years in Slovonian oak barrels (15hL - 30hL) and is bottled after sample tastings. The final step is to let it rest for 12 months in a designated room.

Located in the charming town of Barolo, this family-run winery has been in operation since 1885 and takes its name from Giacomo Brezza, who introduced bottled wine in 1910 alongside his father Antonio. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards, as well as their own restaurant and hotel, the fourth generation proudly maintains 100% organic farming practices as part of their winemaking philosophy. Their dedication to the vineyard and use of natural methods like green manure and composting results in vines that have thrived for over 75 years.  In the cellar, they continue to use traditional methods, aging their wines in large Slavonian oak barrels with no filtering or clarifying.

Piedmont translates literally to "Foot of the Mountains" in this case, the Alps. The region has many parallels to Burgundy, vineyards handed down through generation, increasing demand paired with increasing price. The top grape of the region is Nebbiolo, labelled regionally as Barolo, Barbaresco or Langhe Nebbiolo. The wines that require long term aging reward time in the cellar, while you are waiting for them to mature, enjoy regional wines of Barbera or Dolcetto.
