WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

2015 was a great year for Saint-Julien, producing rich wines that will need another decade to really shine. Currently notes of cassis, smoked earth, cigar box, violets, bay leaf and black licorice show strong in this wine. The wine is dense with lots of grippy tannins, which will soften and smoothen our over the next 10 years.

Leoville Barton is one of the few remaining family owned classified growths of Bordeaux. In 1826 the property was purchased by Irishman, Hugh Barton. He also owned Langoa Barton. The Leoville Barton property is still owned by the Barton family today.

St Julien is located on the left bank of Bordeaux. The small commune has the highest concentration of classed growths. The Cabernet Sauvignon based wines that are produced here are structured, perfumed and elegant.
