WE LOVE IT BECAUSE:

Made from 100% Primitivo (also known as Zinfandel) with vines ranging from 30-60 years in age. No oak is used in the making of this wine. Instead, its fermented using native yeasts and matured in stainless steel which means this wine has nothing to hide.  This wine is full bodied,  dark and spicy. Notes of blackberry, cocoa and licorice are balanced with pleasant acidity. Try pairing with a hearty bolognese.

A Mano winery was established in 1997 in Puglia by Mark and Elvezia Sbalchiero. Mark was a winemaker from California and ‘Elvie’ a marketing wiz from Friuli. A holiday in Puglia turned into a new life for them when they fell in love with the region and opened the winery that same year. ‘A Mano’ means ‘handmade.’ A fitting title as their vineyards and wines are overseen with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Puglia is located in the ‘heel’ of Italy's boot. It's sunny and dry and a region to look for if you're seeking delicious wine with great value. The wines from Puglia are typically centred around indigenous grapes such as Negroamaro and Primitivo for reds and white grapes like Verdeca.
