You’ll find Bodegas y Viñedos Ortega Ezquerro located in Tudelilla, a village in the heart of the Rioja Designation of Origin area (DO Ca Rioja), in the part known as Rioja Baja, 37 km north-east of the regional capital, Logroño, at an altitude of 545m above sea level. The Rioja Reserve is a blend of 80% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha & 5% Graciano, coming from Finca el Monte, with vines aged more that 70 years old. The wine spends 15 days on skins to extract colour and tannin before being transferred to barrels (a mix of 2nd use American oak and new French oak) for 18 – 22 months. The resulting wine has great structure with notes of dark cherry, blackberry, vanilla and balsamic.
