The grapes for Finca Monica are sourced from 30-year-old vines at the base of Yerga Mountain in Alfaro. This unique region provides a wide range of soils and microclimates, resulting in intense blackberry aromas, hints of wild herbs, toasted coconut, and licorice on the nose. These flavors are beautifully translated to the palate, creating a rich and textured wine with a long finish.

The Burgo Viejo winery, is run by six families of grape growers. The passionate and well-coordinated team has won global recognition for their award-winning wines, based on international and local winemaking experience.

Rioja, located inland from the Cantabrian Mountains in the Ebro River Valley, is the most well-known region in Spain. The majority of the grapes grown here, over 90%, are Tempranillo for red wines and predominantly Viura for white wines. It is one of just two regions in Spain to hold the DOCa designation, the highest in the country.

Typically, Rioja wines are aged in barrels and then subsequently aged in the bottle before being released. Known for their exceptional quality and potential for long-term aging, they also offer great value for the price.
